The year 9 students at The Leigh Academy spent some time in a workshop on CV’s yesterday. The workshop also looked at the soft skills that are required for the work place as well as the required information that should be placed on a CV.
Adecco Recruitment a multi national organization with their Head Office in Zurich kindly delivered the workshop. Jo Cassettari and Kathy Alexander who is the Local Branch Manager of the Dartford office of Adecco approached the Trust with the view of working more closely with us to assist our students on their journey through education into the world of work.
The students are so fortunate that professionals spend time helping the Leigh Academies Trust prepare our students for future careers. Our year 9 students at The Leigh Academy will be considering their work experience placements in a few months so now is an ideal time to consider the skills that they have already developed and how to prepare for success in later life.
Adecco looked at the impact of social media and how students should refrain from putting anything onto social media that they would not wish their parents to see. Employers are now looking at social media to establish what someone is like and what they are prepared to share.
