Results of the Parents Questionnaire – July 2016

Thank you to all the parents/carers  who completed the parental feedback questionnaire whilst attending Parent Tutor Day last week. We are pleased to share the many positive responses with you.

95% of parents/carers  think The Leigh Academy is good in all areas, and very good at ‘Celebrating and rewarding achievement’. This is testament to the successful Rewards system in place with students attending reward trips in the last week of module 6 and many students and parents/carers enjoying the College Awards afternoon.

Parent and carer responses reflect a significant improvement since the feedback received in June 2015.

With regards to student achievement 92% of responses were good or better compared with 78% this time last year, the rating of teaching and learning improved by 18% to 88% good or better.  With regard to behaviour and safety 92% of responses rated it as good or better and leadership and management of the Academy was rated as Good or better by 90% of the responses, an improvement of 20% on last year.

Parents and carers identified that they would like to receive  receive  more information on homework, to this end we will be expanding the Year 9 pilot of ‘Show my Homework’ to all year groups in September so that the tracking of homework from home is more manageable.

82% of respondents thought The Leigh Academy has improved during the past year.
