We are delighted to be able to offer a series of sessions to our Year 11 students during the October half term break. This is to support the students in beginning to address any gaps in learning that they may have as a result of the academy closure due to the Covid-19 pandemic. These catch up sessions are optional, and will take place during the weeks commencing 19th and 26th October. Please see the attached overview for the sessions that are running. Students are invited to sign up to a maximum of ONE session per day only. There will be a maximum of 30 attendees for each session offered. Students may wear non-uniform, but sensible warm clothing is compulsory. For the maths sessions it is important that they sign up for the correct tier of entry.
The sessions will run from 09:00am – 12:00pm. Students are expected to arrive on time, fully equipped and ready to learn. They will not be allowed to leave the academy site during these sessions, so it is vital that they bring refreshments and snacks with them. The students will not be able to be on site before or after the sessions. To ensure that the academy remains Covid secure, all students are expected to maintain our expectations with regards to social distancing, wear a mask when entering and moving around the academy, and wash/ sanitise their hands regularly. Failure to adhere to this will result in the student being sent home.
If you would like your son/daughter to attend a session, please complete the application form below by Wednesday 14th October 2020.
