We have reviewed the Assessment and Reporting Calendar now that students are back on site and have scheduled in formal End of Year (EOY) MYP Assessments between Monday 7th – Friday 11th June 2021.
Subject Leaders will be scheduling exactly when subject assessments will be within this window and will communicate both the timing and topic lists via Google Classroom nearer the time. Assessments will last no longer than fifty minutes and will be completed within timetabled lessons.
For your information I have attached a guide that will be given to all KS3 students next week. Students will have some tutor sessions with their tutor looking at the importance of revision and to introduce them to some different revision strategies to see which strategies they find useful. Class teachers will be building in revision and examination preparation for some lessons prior to the end of module break but it is also vital that students are taking responsibility for their own independent revision at home. The back page includes some information you might find useful to help you best support your child.
We understand that preparing for assessments could cause worry for some of our students, so please do remind your son/daughter to talk initially to their subject teacher or tutor if they have any concerns. Parents and carers will then receive their son/daughter’s Year 7 report to review prior to the Year 7 Parent-Teacher Event on Wednesday 7th July 2021.
Thank you for your continued support during our assessment review.
