PE Kit and Sports Clubs

Dear Parents/Carers,

This letter is to inform you that the PE kit policy has been updated effective for the 2021-22 academic year due to the changes in government guidelines. We are reverting back to our previous PE kit policy which is that all students arrive in their usual Leigh academy uniform every day. On a day when they have PE lessons they will be required to bring their PE kit in a bag with them, on the day(s) that they have PE, to then get changed into at the start of their PE lessons, in the PE changing rooms. Students will change into their uniform again at the end of the lesson.

Please see below a reminder of The Leigh Academy PE standards, advice and clubs running this academic year. 

The Leigh Academy PE Standards

• Girls and Boys – Leigh PE polo shirt with college logo
• Girls and Boys – Leigh PE zip sweatshirt/fleece
• Girls and Boys – Black shorts or black tracksuit bottoms or black leggings 

(No short or cycling shorts)

• Girls and Boys – Sports trainers or Astroturf trainers 

(No studs)

In addition to the above reminders to the PE kit policy, we are now in a position to re-start our extracurricular PE clubs. The extracurricular clubs are at no financial cost and start from Monday 6th September.
