Comic Relief 2022

Dear Parents/Carers,

On Friday 18th March the whole of the UK will come together to support this year’s Comic Relief. The Leigh Academy is hoping to raise a substantial amount of money for Comic Relief and local charities.

This event has been hugely supported in the past by The Leigh Academy students. All students will be able to wear appropriate non-school uniform on this day. Wearing something red to coincide with the traditional red nose theme would also be desirable. Students are requested to make a £1.00 contribution for this opportunity. All proceeds will be collected on the day.

Lessons will continue as normal so please do ensure that your child is equipped and ready for learning on this day.

All the money raised by the students will be used by Comic Relief to help transform the lives of poor and vulnerable people, both at home and across the world’s poorest countries. Your financial contribution is greatly appreciated and also ensures The Leigh Academy students can watch Comic Relief knowing they have made a significant contribution to a worthwhile cause.

Thank you for allowing your son/daughter to support this event.

Yours faithfully,

Julia Collins
