Pathway 1 Academic Pathway

(AS/A Levels and IB Diplomas): Students in this pathway study a pure academic programme choosing a minimum of 3 AS/A Level or IB Diplomas. The entry criteria for this pathway is a minimum of 5 A*-B (9-5) GCSE passes including Grade 6 in English Language and Mathematics and  mostly B grades in other subjects. Some subjects have a specific entry criteria as detailed in the Subject Directory.

Pathway 2 – Vocational Pathway

(BTEC/Financial Studies): Students in this pathway study a pure vocational programme choosing from our impressive range of subjects. The entry criteria for this pathway is a minimum of 5 A*-C (9-4) GCSE passes including 4 in English Language or Literature and Mathematics.

Pathway 3 – Academic and Vocational Pathway

(Academic and Vocational Subjects): Students in this pathway study a combination of academic and vocational subjects. The entry criteria for this pathway is a minimum of 5 A*-B (9-5) GCSE passes including Grade 6 in English Language and Mathematics. A minimum of a B Grade is required for academic subjects and some subjects have a specific entry criteria.

Pathway 4 – International Baccalaureate Career-related Programme

(IBCP) Students in this pathway study either two single or one double vocational subjects, two IB Diplomas and the IBCP Core Programme. The entry criteria for this pathway is a minimum of 5 A*-C (9-4) GCSE passes including 4 in English Language or Literature and Mathematics.

Pathway 5 – The Dartford Football Academy

(In partnership with Dartford Football Club): Students in this pathway study Pathway 1, 2 or 3 and through the Football Academy train and play matches during the academy day. The entry criteria for this pathway is a minimum of 5 A*-C (9-4) GCSE passes including 4 in English Language or Literature and Mathematics. A minimum of a B Grade is required for academic subjects. Students will also have to be successful at a trial with DFC.

Directed Study Sessions

All Post 16 students have timetabled Directed Study Sessions. These dedicated study periods, supervised by a qualified teacher ensure that students are focussed on their studies, developing proactive independent study habits while knowing that there is a member of staff at hand to offer help and guidance.
