Dear Parents, Carers & Students,
We are looking forward to seeing Year 11 return to the academy on the above date, when they come to collect their GCSE and BTEC examination results from 9.00 am – 10.00 am.
If students are nominating someone else to collect them on their behalf, they must send an email to Mr Hills (christopher.hills@leighacademy.org.uk), letting him know the name of the person they nominate to collect the results. This person will also need to bring ID with them on the day.
If needed, every student will be offered a face-to-face meeting on the results day to discuss your destination options, and to support you.
Following your examination results, if you wish to have a review of marking for a particular examination paper or a copy of your script to view, you will need to complete a form for this, which can be collected from the Examinations Team that morning.
Attenborough College Enrolment
Once students have collected their results, so long as they have gained at least 5 subjects at grade 4 or above, including English Language and/or Mathematics but preferably both, they will be able to go to the restaurant to meet with their college leadership team to enrol in Attenborough College for Post-16. This will be quick and easy, especially if they have already told us their subject choices earlier in the year.
We hope as many qualifying students as possible will choose to remain with us but, if they are intending to make an approach to another school or college, we strongly advise them to enrol with us to secure a space here before they go elsewhere, as we are oversubscribed for Year 12 this year and we would hate for anyone to not enrol with us, be denied a place at the other school or college and then return to find their first choice subjects with us are already full.
